Skin Inflammation

The Disease

Skin inflammation is caused in response to injury, infection, or irritants, leading to symptoms such as redness, swelling, heat, pain, and, in some cases, the formation of lesions. This process is often seen in conditions like psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, and acne.

Preclinical psoriasis mouse models are crucial for exploring the pathogenesis of psoriasis and assessing the effectiveness of new therapeutic strategies, from topical to systemic treatments.

Evaluation Platforms

The Imiquimod-induced model provides a rapid and reliable approach to induce psoriasis-like skin lesions, making it ideal for testing topical formulations and systemic therapies.

The IL-23 model mimics the inflammatory processes associated with psoriasis by activating key immune pathways, allowing for the assessment of biologics and small molecules targeting IL-23 and related cytokines.
